ASHEVILLE, NC, July 23, 2024 – Stevin Westcott, the former Public Affairs Officer (PAO) and spokesman for the USDA Forest Service’s National Forests in North Carolina, today announced that he has established a new marketing and communications firm based in Asheville.

Stevin Westcott has more than 20 years of communications and marketing experience. He has worked in the for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors, conducting campaigns at the national, regional, state, and local levels. His experience includes owning and operating an eCommerce brand where he drove engagement with social media as well as building websites and producing an environmental podcast. For more than 13 years, Stevin conducted marketing/communications campaigns for the federal government including at the national level for an agency headquarters in Washington, DC. In Asheville, he served as the Forest Service PAO in North Carolina for four years and Press Officer of the agency’s Southern Research Station for three years. He is the former director of communications of the oldest conservation organization in the United States and the former producer of a nationally syndicated radio show aired on 175 NPR and ABC affiliates.
